Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is the older sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sport career with an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimity. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 and she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and then a gold in the year 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas's fight last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002 when she fought Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following the second-round TKO. The following two bouts came at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's superior strike skills let her TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. After this win, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina was offered an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight by an unanimous decision. Antonina recovered from her loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the fight of the night bonus during the bout. Shevchenko went 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts, defeating Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
